The Days I Knew by Lillie Langtry. First edition, published by the George H. Doran Company in 1925.
Lillie Langtry was born as Emilie Charlotte Le Breton and later became known as the Lady de Bathe. She was spent several years as the mistress of the Prince of Wales Edward Albert, who later became King Edward VII. Shortly after the end of the affair, she heeded the advice of friend Oscar Wilde and embarked on a successful acting career. She frequently toured the U.S. and eventually became an American citizen.
The book is full of black and white photos showing why Langtry was considered one of the great beauties of her day.
